Encourages Body And Mind Care Health Day Celebration
After a week of actions carried out in the countryside and in Fortaleza with the objective of promoting health in Ceará, the Parque Estadual do Cocó was the space that received this Sunday (8) the closing event of World Health Day. The holders of the secretariats of Health of Ceará, Henrique Javi, and of the Environment, Artur Bruno, participated in the event # SaúdeParaTodos.Health Day celebration encourages body and mind care.
“Here, the interaction between people already encourages better mental health. We have people working on healthy eating, actions that prevent most of our diseases. We show that it is necessary to pay attention to a healthier lifestyle, taking care of food and practicing physical activity ”, said the Secretary of Health of Ceará, Henrique Javi.
The Integrated Residence in Health of the School of Public Health of Ceará (Ris-ESP-CE) also invited residents to carry out activities on the site showing that art can collaborate in the debate on the Unified Health System (SUS). Professionals from the Hospital de Saúde Mental Doutor Frota Pinto, from the Ceará Government network, from the Policy and Health Care Coordinators, Health Promotion and Protection and Health Management. Health Education and Work from the Ceará Department of Health participated in the activities throughout the morning.
The psychologist and resident of RIS, Aélio Almeida, highlighted the relevance of events like the one that took place on Sunday. “I think it is very important because it brings people closer together and shows that health is something broader, that it doesn’t just involve consultation. It awakens the dialogue about health in a more experiential than the discursive way ”, he said.
Health for all
At the Cocó State Park, the action of the Ceará Department of Health attracted people like retired Gláucia Bonfim, who practices physical exercises six or seven times a week. At 69, she does not have any chronic illness and usually visits the space with family members on Sundays. “This project (Viva o Parque) is very good for the community and talking about health too,” said Gláucia, who measured blood pressure and received nutritional guidance. “I row, do weight training and walk. I do it because I like it and because I feel good. Healthy minds in healthy bodies ”, he explains.

Every Sunday, Cocó State Park, in Fortaleza, receives about two thousand visitors who participate in physical activities such as Zumba, yoga and tree climbing. Transport manager Júlio Flávio, 43, wants to increase the frequency with which he performs physical activities since he has only been able to exercise on weekends. Eating healthier is another concern of Flávio Alessandro’s father, 10, who plays basketball. “Such an initiative is very good,” said he, who was accompanied by his son.
Paula Nóbrega, who has lived in Fortaleza for just two months, took the family for a walk and praised the initiative to show the population the evolutionary cycle of Aedes aegypti. “It is certainly important to know how to identify the mosquito and to try to avoid these diseases caused by it”, he evaluated. Gabriel Nóbrega, 10 years old, her eldest son, was one of the children who used the microscope taken to the park to better identify the characteristics of Aedes. The Cocó State Park also hosted this Sunday the celebration of the International Day of Sport for Development and for Peace (April 6), with the objective of democratizing physical activity and leisure. The action was carried out by Rede Esporte pela Mudança Social, which promoted the second edition of the event “Esporte na Rua”, which had about 200 children doing sports activities Health Day Celebration.
